Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Focus IT Consulting LLC, doing business as Focus IT Development ("we," "us"). They cover the OpusFoundry app and the opusfoundry.app website. By installing or using OpusFoundry you agree to them.

Your license

We give you a personal, revocable license to install and use OpusFoundry on devices you own or control. You may not resell, sublicense, or share modified versions of the app, remove its notices, or use it for anything unlawful.

Your artwork and your fonts

You keep all rights in the artwork you open and the fonts you make with it. We claim none of them. OpusFoundry adds no license or restriction of its own to an exported font.

You are responsible for having the right to turn your artwork into a font. When you export, the app asks you to confirm that you own the artwork or have permission to use it. Do not use artwork you do not have rights to, and check the license of any typeface you start from.

OpusFoundry does not save your work automatically. Save your project file to keep it, and keep backups of your artwork and fonts.

What the app does to your artwork

The fixes OpusFoundry suggests change the shapes, sizes, and spacing of your letters, and they apply only when you press Apply. Review the result before you install or share a font, because we cannot promise that a generated font suits every use, every program, or every language.

Ownership

We own the OpusFoundry code, design, name, and logos. Third-party components in the app are covered by their own licenses, which are listed in the app's notices file.

Microsoft Store

If you got OpusFoundry from the Microsoft Store, the Store's terms also apply to you. Microsoft is not responsible for the app or for supporting it.

Updates and availability

We may update OpusFoundry, but we do not promise any update or any particular feature. We may stop offering the app at any time. OpusFoundry is a beta, so expect rough edges.

No warranty

OpusFoundry is provided "as is," without promises that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that your files will be safe.

Limit of liability

To the most the law allows, our total liability to you for anything related to OpusFoundry is limited to the amount you paid for it, or $10 if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Ending these terms

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app. If you break these terms, your license ends automatically.

Governing law

Indiana law governs these terms, and disputes go to the courts in Indiana, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms. If you keep using OpusFoundry after a change, you accept the new terms.
